Can I become infected with the new SARS-CoV-2 through sex toys?

AMORELIE does not see an increased risk of infection through the use of erotic articles, as long as the general hygiene recommendations (e.g. regular, thorough hand washing) are followed before use.

AMORELIE has taken various measures at a very early stage in order to eliminate a risk for our customers and our employees as far as possible. For example, all employees from the head office have been working from their home offices for several days now. In our mail order centre, regular disinfection of hands is mandatory. In addition, we do not employ any employees who could be at risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2 (e.g. because they were on holiday in a risk area).

According to information from the RKI (Robert Koch Institute), transmission via inanimate surfaces has not yet been documented. Therefore, an infection with SARS-CoV-2 via surfaces, such as mail, seems unlikely.

However, our customers must be prepared for the parcel delivery company to prefer to deliver the items in parcel boxes or to park them in desired locations such as a garage in order to minimize the risk of infection. It is also possible that the deliverer will no longer require a signature on delivery at the front door to prevent our customers from touching the scanner or a pen.
